Where blues, barbecue and culture meet on the Central Coast in New South Wales.
The fifth Girrakool Blues Festival and Barbecue is a cultural, music and barbecue event held annually at Mt Penang Event Park on the Central Coast New South Wales.
International, national and local blues acts, an Australasian Barbecue Alliance Barbecue Competition, Indigenous Culture, all in a New Orleans themed Mardi Gra styled Festival under a big top tent.
There will be the Girrakool Soul Kitchen as well as Texan style barbecue, speciality market stalls, interactive art installations and during the breaks a roaming Festival Band. All with free camping and kids under five years of age free, in a family friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The Barbecue Stand off will be open to the public on Sunday, with approximately 50 teams competing from all over the country, market stalls showcasing all things barbecue, demonstrations, music, kids activities and kids under 12 free.
Aboriginal culture will feature heavily throughout the event including Aboriginal Musicians, women’s activities and traditional ovens on Sunday....
